Installation of domestic soakaway

When a family in Dudley called their insurance company to claim for damage caused by a serious damp problem, it wasn’t clear what was causing it. The answer was far from straightforward and the insurer engaged a national drainage company to investigate.

This company called in ESTS, and, after various percolation tests, we discovered that the rainwater was ending up in an old tank, which may once have been a well, right underneath the kitchen.

The local water board wouldn’t accept the rainwater into the sewer, so we resolved the problem by constructing a create based soakaway system, in the garden, well away from the building, into which all the rainwater was channelled.
